Kansas is in desperate need of young, innovative leaders that haven't made a career out of politics.  I believe, I am that person. My name is Stephen Owens and I have been a resident of the 74th House District for 20+ years.  During that time, we have seen companies innovate, but not our state.  Why not?  Why do we operate the same way we always have?  There has to be a better way!

That's why I want your help!  I know there is a better way.  I know the answers exist within the community but the conversations just haven't been had.  I believe the time is NOW to Rethink Kansas and engage members of the 74th so that together, we may be the innovators the state so desperately needs.

What an informative and busy week we had in Topeka. This concludes week for of the Legislative session and the House is moving a bit slower than years past. There hasn’t been quite as many bills brought forward to date so the action on the floor has been sparse.
